Azin Asgarian

Azin Asgarian serves as an AI Technical Lead at Georgian, focusing on a range of applied machine-learning projects. She also steers Georgian’s technical community, Transferred Learnings, organizing applied ML initiatives, including workshops, bootcamps, and virtual educational sessions.

Before her current role, Azin contributed as a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto, engaging in various projects related to Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Transfer Learning. Her keen interest in the intersection of machine learning and healthcare led her to the University Health Network, where she worked to develop an AI-powered vision-based pain detection system.

Azin is an alumna of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she completed a Technology Leadership program. Additionally, she earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Toronto (UofT) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Tehran (UT).
