
Justin LaFayette
Co-Founder, Lead Investor, Head of FirmJustin LaFayette is Co-Founder and a member of the Investment Committee at Georgian. Since co-founding the firm in 2008, Justin has played a key role in the development of Georgian's strategy, value-add services and overall growth.
As a Lead Investor, Justin also leads Georgian's investment vision and strategy to find and win market-leading AI software companies across the U.S., Canada and EMEA. He has led Georgian's investments in 25 Growth Fund companies, including Shopify (exited), IEX, Tealium, TopHat and PrecisionLender (exited).
Beyond investing, Justin oversees Georgian's AI Lab, People and Culture and Community teams. With deep experience in scaling enterprise software businesses and leveraging AI for efficient growth, Justin provides strategic guidance to Georgian's portfolio companies, helping them navigate challenges and unlock long-term value.
Prior to Georgian, Justin co-founded and served as CEO of DWL, building it into an industry leader in master data management (MDM) before its acquisition by IBM in 2005. After DWL was acquired by IBM in 2005, Justin served as Vice President of Strategy for the Information Platform and Solutions division at IBM, where he helped advance global enterprise software and data strategies. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Services from Ferris State University.
