Mike Ruthard

Mike Ruthard is Chief Financial Officer at Georgian. In his role as CFO, Mike is responsible for internal and external reporting, tax compliance, Georgian's control environment, portfolio company valuation, relationships with audit, tax and banking advisors and other financial duties.

Since joining, Mike has had a key role in implementing new internal reporting processing, including the onboarding and integration of a new fund administrator. His efforts have helped launch initiatives designed to enhance the end-to-end experience for our limited partners, streamlining reporting and improving transparency for investor communications.

Prior to joining Georgian, Mike most recently held the position of President at Margaree Investment Holdings and, prior to that, he was the CFO at Orchard Global Asset Management, a leading global structured credit asset manager. Mike has also held roles at PwC, Barrick Gold Corporation and the Royal Bank of Canada.

He is a Chartered Professional Accountant with a BA in Economics from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management. With a strong background in governance, Mike has served on numerous Boards of Directors, holding roles such as Board Chair, Audit Committee Chair and Investment Committee Chair.
